With strong growth and cutting‑edge engineering projects, the company is expanding its systems engineering capabilities and is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join its Belgian office.

Description

  • Engage with customers to analyse user needs and operational use cases.
  • Capture and formalise requirements using internal systems engineering tools.
  • Translate abstract needs into clear system requirements and technical specifications.
  • Define system architecture aligned with mission objectives.
  • Lead system‑level analysis, modelling, and simulation.
  • Allocate requirements across engineering domains (mechanical, optics, electronics, software).
  • Lead system integration and verification activities.
  • Oversee hardware and software testing, including interface compliance and performance validation.
  • Support deployment and end‑to‑end system validation.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure schedule, quality, and budget adherence.
  • Provide clear technical communication to internal teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Manage supplier interactions, contracts, and technical deliverables.
  • Support troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Manage non‑conformances, change proposals, and baseline updates.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
  • Contribute to systems engineering process optimisation and best‑practice adoption.
  • Drive continuous improvement using lean and agile approaches.

Profil recherché

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related engineering fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software systems (Linux/Unix).
  • Strong background in Earth‑observation missions, payloads, or image processing.
  • Strong systems engineering expertise, including requirements management, modelling, and simulation.
  • Ability to work across multiple domains (optics, mechanical, electronics, software).
  • Fluent in English
