Our client is a global trading house located in Geneva. They operate some niche markets and built a strong reputation in the community while maintaining an agile mindset. We recruit a Global Finance Analyst - Natural Resources (F/M) to join their Geneva HQ team, reporting directly to the CFO.
Description
Working Capital Forecast and Optimization
- Based on contracted volumes, budgeted numbers, historical trends, discussions with trading teams, price trends, issue a rolling monthly Inventory Forecast, both in volume and in USD
- Include non-Inventory WC related elements and other Balance Sheet accounts, in order to understand the impact on debt levels and financial ratios
- Highlight areas of risks and of potential optimizations
- Interact with Treasury to understand funding impacts, at global level and at flow level (location, product, clean or transactional funding, etc.)
Activity level measurement and monitoring
- Identify KPIs in "operational" departments (Traffic, Treasury, Middle Office particularly), helping to measure - on a suitable frequency (daily, weekly, monthly) - current activity, current bottlenecks, to be able to address overloads and underloads proactively and to anticipate peaks
- Analysis to be done at global and at granular levels (country, flow, product, teams etc.)
- Build activity dashboards to be able to report activity on a weekly and/or monthly basis
- Highlight areas of risks and of potential optimizations
- Potential KPIs (examples) : volumes, loan requests, shipments, hedges order, accounting entries, invoices, trucks, inventories, emails, etc.
Profil recherché
- Master's degree/MBA in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field
- 5 to 10y years of proven experience in Data Crunching and/or Finance in Commodity Trading industry
- Excellent systems related skills, comfortable with data mining within numerous systems, understanding of financial systems, CTRM, BI tools, and ability to automatize tasks with the support of IT if needed
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to extract the relevant information among multiple data, to identify key drivers, to summarize and to present them
- Strong problem solving and creative skills, ability to exercise sound judgment and make or propose decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
